Massimo Campigli 1895 - 1971, Italy.
Massimo Campigli began painting after World War I in Paris, and his early work is inspired by Fernand Leger and Picasso. His artistic expression underwent a complete transformation in 1928, where he gained a passionate interest in Etruscan art. He developed a fresco-like artistic expression with archaic female figures as a constant theme. After World War II, he increasingly focused on lithography, working with the most important publishers and printers of the time.
