Hotel Byblos was founded in 1967 in St Tropez by the Lebanese hotelier Jean-Prosper Gay-Para in a failed attempt to woo Brigitte Bardot. Gay-Para commissioned the famous ceramicists Jean Derval and Roger Capron to decorate his lavish hotel.
