Pierre Ambrogiani (1907-1985) is known for his expressionist nudes, landscapes and still lifes. His first major exhibition was in Marseille in 1936 with following exhibitions in cities such as Paris, New York, London and Stockholm. In 1967, he was awarded the Grand Prix des Peintres Témoins de Leur Temps. His work is found in several museum collections including Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris.
