"I was in Tunisia making a reportage for the magazine MuséeArt. While visiting the old town of Hammamet and looking to get a panoramic view, I got up on the ramparts and discovered this magnificent statue on the terrace of a house facing the ocean. I believe the house belongs to Frédéric Mitterand, nephew of our former president."

Roland Beaufre studied art and architecture at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He lives between France and Morocco, photographing people and interiors for international publications such as World of Interiors, Architectural Digest and New York Times Magazine.
